The activity begins at 1,923 metres above sea level, at the Etna Cable Car departure station, and allows you to gradually reach higher altitudes. Depending on the option selected, you can reach 2,500 metres or 2,900 metres above sea level, without the need for demanding trekking.

Aboard a new-generation cable car, you will reach the upper station at 2,500 metres. In the event of adverse weather conditions, such as strong winds, the ascent will be made by 4x4 bus, always ensuring the highest level of safety.

By choosing the Cable Car + 4x4 Bus option, you will continue the experience aboard special 4x4 vehicles, which allow you to reach the maximum altitude permitted by the Authorities (currently set at 2,900 m above sea level). This option also includes a short walk of approximately 20 minutes, accompanied by Alpine/Volcanological Guides, to reach an impressive panoramic viewpoint. In conditions of full visibility, you can enjoy views over much of eastern Sicily. In the presence of snow, the route is operated using tracked vehicles (snowcats).
