01. Description
This excursion to Cavagrande del Cassibile departs from Syracuse and takes you to discover one of the most fascinating natural environments in south-eastern Sicily: the Cavagrande del Cassibile Nature Reserve.
After meeting at the meeting point in Piazza Pantheon - Syracuse, we will travel by car to Cavagrande, where the Cavagrande trekking experience will begin along one of the most scenic trails in the reserve. Along the route, the guide will explain the main natural features of the area, including canyons, Mediterranean vegetation and panoramic views.
We will descend to the valley floor, walking through lush Mediterranean woodland to reach the famous Cavagrande natural pools, characterized by clear and refreshing waters, where you can enjoy a regenerating break surrounded by nature.
The experience in the Cavagrande del Cassibile Nature Reserve offers the perfect balance between outdoor activity and direct contact with an unspoilt environment, ideal for those looking for an authentic nature trekking experience.
At the end of the excursion, you will return to the original meeting point in Syracuse.
