The excursion starts at 1,923 meters above sea level, at the departure station of the Etna Cable Car, where you can validate your ticket by scanning the QR code with the assistance of the staff.
On board a latest-generation cable car, you will reach the upper station at 2,500 meters. In case of strong wind or particular weather conditions, the ascent will take place directly by Etna 4x4 bus with an alpine guide, in compliance with safety procedures. From this altitude, a unique panorama opens up, with simultaneous views of the summit craters and the Ionian coast.
The experience continues aboard a special 4x4 bus, allowing you to reach the maximum altitude permitted by the Authorities, currently set at Etna 2900 meters. This option makes the activity a trekking-free Etna excursion, also suitable for those who wish to experience the volcano without significant physical effort.
Once the maximum altitude is reached, a walk of approximately 20 minutes is planned, always accompanied by Alpine/Volcanological guides, to reach a highly scenic panoramic point. In good visibility conditions, the view extends over much of eastern Sicily. In the presence of snow, transfers are carried out with tracked snow vehicles (snowcats).
