We had a fantastic day with our guide, Lory! She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, sharing everything we wanted to know about Mount Etna and the surrounding area in a truly engaging way. She spoke fluent English and Spanish (for another couple joining us on the excursion) and was an excellent driver. We visited everything we wanted to see, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! It was also an unforgettable day for the children, full of adventure.

Our family of four had an exceptional time with Alessandro on the full day Mount Etna and Taormina tour. We were part of a small group (eight people total). Alessandro’s explanation of Mount Etna and its history shaping the landscape and forming the fabric of Sicily was very informative and engaging. Two of our party elected to do the circle tour at the base of Mount Etna with Alessandro and the other two took the optional cable car and bus to the highest accessible point. Both experiences were great and provided an up close connection with the mountain. Our visit to Taormina was also beautiful and made a great ending to a long but very enjoyable day. Highly recommend the Mount Etna and Taormina full day tour!

Today we spent an absolutely wonderful day with Claudio. The 6-hour tour flew by in what felt like a single moment — engaging, dynamic, and truly unforgettable from start to finish. We received all the information we could have wished for about the volcano, explained clearly and passionately. The service was top-notch, and beyond that, it was simply a joy to spend the day together in such a breathtaking place. We learned so many new and fascinating things. Of course, you can read about it online or watch videos, but being there in person is something entirely different. The scale of the lava flows and the sheer power of the volcano create emotions and understanding that stay with you long after — something we will continue to reflect on and process. At the end of the tour, we visited a beautiful spot where we enjoyed a tasting of local food and wines. Everything was incredibly delicious and vibrant. Unfortunately, we have no photos from the tasting — the flavors and aromas of Sicily completely captivated us and we simply forgot to take any! We 200% recommend Claudio as both a wonderful person and a highly professional guide who shares his birthplace with genuine love and passion. This was truly the best tour experience we’ve had. On our epic European Vacation, we had a lot of ground to cover in a limited period of time. We were to go ashore in Sicily, and after struggling with the various tour guide companies, we knew what we wanted to do. The only question was how to do so and get back in time to not miss our boat. Thank God! we were referred to Etna Tribe. This is a private guided tour inside a comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes. It was more than enough room for our group of five. Our tour guide was Claudio, who was truly, truly magnifico! Claudio gave us a warm, personalized, customized experience that catered to not only our timing needs, as well as a couple of other situational limitations. Not to say we missed out. He took us to the amazing, natural wonders of the lava-carved Alcantara Gorges, the ashy-soiled trails of trekking Mount Etna, and let’s not forget about the caving along the way. Plus the regional tastings of various honeys, wines, and liqueurs. Claudio had encyclopedia/Wikipedia-level know-how and show-how about the area. This tour has been one of the entire highlights of our entire trip. We have already recommended Claudio and Etna Tribe to people we know directly, and now to all of you out there in Google Land…
